Hello,

For the test site ERMC, I would like to add a Whole page span slide show:
    # just below the new position of the website logo and above the "headline module" and the right column modules (inset and inner inset)
    # it will be panoramic, about 300-400 px in height, and the width would be as specified for the template
    # I would prefer an existing slideshow module by Gavick, for example the ones used in the:
    ShoeBox template
    botique template
I like these slideshows because they are functional, if you click on the slide on the image, it leads to a specific page. [This functional feature is also integrated in the Gallery Module.] There are many slideshow extensions in Joomla but all they do is present images -- not very informative if you want to know more about the image, which is the essence of a news magazine website
#[Please do not suggest any other Joomla third party slideshow extension. At some point, I spent quite a bit of time reviewing various slideshow extensions. I learned my lesson using third party extensions -- with no support or lack of timely upgrade and worse, if the developer suddenly decided (s)he no longer has the time and abandoned the project. There is also the issue of aesthetic integration.
#I have to admit that Joomlart, the first template company I used, has very nice and very innovative (in terms of presentation and variations) whole page. However, as I shared with Cyberek, in another post, Joomlart "customer support" is not the best among template providers and left me frustrated many times in the past. This is one of the reasons why I decided to come back to Gavick, as it seems your customer support has improved quite a bit, since I first came here in 2008. Just as important, I like the aesthetic presentation of a number of the Gavick templates and modules. Moreover, in terms of news-magazine templates, many of the issues I have raised and never got resolved in the Joomlart forums for years are inherent features in a number of the Gavick modules. Just to cite one example, proper and automated scaling of images.

My questions:

Are the slideshows in

ShoeBox template or botique template

in modular format already so that they can be uploaded as extension modules in the News template or any Gavick template? If not, can Gavick modularize these slideshow features?
