Hi guys!

I have installed the news theme, I like it. However, I need to define module positions, menus etc. I would really appreciate if you could send me an SQL Dump to let me import it and/or provide a documentation for the template. Because right now I am lost. Dummy data within the SQL could also help "showing" how it looks like to let me work on the further improvements as I am not an advanced Joomla user.

Thanks,
Aslan

You should test our QuicStart installation package, which sets up everything as in our demo sites. This allows You to check what configuration needs to be set to achieve particular look, and then develop from that point.

Thanks!

Is it also installed through the extensions/admin? And one more question: shall i leave all the folders with 777 permissions? cos otherwise it doesn't let me do anything.

No, quickinstall is a separate joomla installation, so You could put it in subfolder, install from there (Create new database for it or use different table suffix) and You can compare configuration.
Folder permissions- it all depends on your hosting company. Joomla checks for permissions during installation and shows what is wrong and should be changed - jus carefully read all installation steps if there are any errors.
