We are using gk_news J3.0 Quickstart and having problem with the K2 Items publishing.

Whenever we publish them, they dont start immediately publish in the module "mod_news_pro_gk4"

But when we make their publish date a day before, they start appearing in the modules.

We have checked the module time offsets for each of the modules but cannot make it publish on the front page until we make the Publish date a day before and then it started publishing

The Modules parameters are set properly to show the Items in Descending Order and Source is selected to K2 categories.

Note: The items are published in proper categories.

Kindly help us in this regard.

Still no response. Incredible. I was under the impression that I had support included when I first signed up. They bounced me over here, had the nerve to ask me to rate their non-existent support and still haven't responded to me or anyone else. Before this experience I had nothing but the utmost respect for this company. I would prefer being told that there is currently no solution but that it's being worked on than being left hanging.

Interim Solution. This is by no means a perfect solution but until a permanent solution is found, it seems as if changing the date to the day before the actual publish date makes the article appear immediately.

We have tried this several times on www.rocklandstar.com at it seems to work. I suppose that the following day we could change the date to reflect the actual publish date.

No this is not a perfect solution but it is working for us for now.

My ticket "Created: 04 February 2013 05:39 PM" - 10 days ago is still open and unresolved.

Setting the date back is not really an option when it's a news template for a news website that as standard would display the article publishing time and date.

My latest attempt to get it to work:

"
Ok,

So we have this article published at 2013-02-14 16:39:18

http://www.yourbristoltv.com/news/socie ... ed-cyclist

Server time is now: February 14, 2013, 4:58 pm
http://www.yourbristoltv.com/time.php

Joomla Time Zone Set to London

London Time is now: 4:59 PM Thursday, February 14, 2013 (GMT)

Latest News module in mainbody - offset 0 - article not displaying

Top Banner module in bannertop - offset -12 - article not displaying

Society module in tab4 - offset +12 - article not displaying

deleted cache - article still not displaying

What else do you want me to do? Is this ever going to get sorted out?"

Well let go with what it not in mean time.

I bough wordpress subscription just to see if the quick start as the same problem and it does.

It only show the day before.

So i ssh to server made sure time and date were set right all was set right.
So that is not the cause. Log to Admin of server "plesk" check date all same as ssh so that not the problem.

Download newest template from here Magazine same issue, One thing we did do was updated joomla to version 3.0.3 Wondering if it not a bug on the update?

So now will try another template from another provider and see if it post the right date.

Temporary Fix

News Show Pro GK4 ver. 3.3.7

Modify - modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/helper.php

Line 140 needs to be changed to:

$this->config['time_offset'] = 24; // time offset for timezones problem

This fixed the problem for us, but you need to remember that updating the module will overwrite this change.
