Spam attack k2 posts!

Dear Everybody,

I turn to you again, for help because I have some problems with spams

I regularly received so many spams, that I had to withdraw the permission of K2 comments. So then nobody could make comments for the articles.

3 protections had been allowed, follows:
1/ reCaptcha
2/ Akismet
3/ StopFórumSpam

For only registrated persons had possibilities to make comments, but the spammers could make comments bypass registration, without IP adress, that’s why those comments can not be handle as spams.

Setting of K2: Anti-Spam protection

Neither Akismet nor reCaptcha can stop the Spams.

If I allowed both of them nobody can make comments.

My K2 version is updated.

I need your support to solve this problem.

It means that "spammers love your webiste"

If I understand well -- people have to register before they will be able to add comment? and you have lot's of fake users profiles ? If yes, you have to make harder registration process.

But in general you need customize solution
or
maybe somebody found good solution and publish on getk2.org/community/index , who knows.

Some users also replace default comments from K2 - to Facebook comments system (search on JED to find extension)

p.s.
Unfortunately, the only option may be also blocking the IP of spammers country.

So right now you can use webservices like: Project Honeypot, StopforumSpam, Botscout, Fspmalist, Spamhaus, Akismet, Defensio and Mollom.

Please check settings of plugin called: Alikonweb - Detector

But about K2 Anti-spam Settings --> maybe it's doesn't worked because you had added space before Akismet API key. (fixed by me)

But remember that even Akismet is not perfect solution - spammers are smart. Sometimes they add comments by hand not only automatics.

Maybe you should hide/delete URL field from comments form (Webhely URL:) , hmm.

For J1.5 was great plugin called UserKilled - now is also available for J2.5 , it will help you to delete "spam" users from User Manager

This has been a nightmare for the spammer topic.
I am very grateful to you for help, but something's not right. Unable to register!
Insert Ajax does not work and the default reCaptcha was gone!
I procured all the free margin (Alikonweb detector) into, but I do not know what more to be done?

sorry but I didn't have FTP access to fix it.

If your broken recapcha is caused by Alikonweb detector and others from this package - please disable it or uninstall it.
