How to show the image for the first item

How can I show the article image of the first item at http://postimg.org/image/d8tfqsxrr/

Like "Most Popular" module I would like to show the image of first article.

Right now as I can see the module is set to show links only and in this mode it is not possible. The only way is to use regular layout with articles + links and set amount of articles to 1. Then one news will be display above links with image.
