Want tablet to show full desktop template...but

I want the tablet view to look the same as the full desktop view. I actually accomplished that by setting tablet to 900px in the template. The problem is, using that method, the notablet and onlytablet suffixes don't work anymore. How can I get the tablet to show the full desktop view and still be able to use the suffixes to control modules on the tablet?

.notablet and .onlytablet works only when css for tablet is loaded.
If you force tablet css not to be loaded (by lowering the resolution), those suffixes don't work and its impossible to bring them back, as @media-query depends on resolution check, not device detection method.
