Hi
There are over 10 css stylesheet in News template. When I enable CSS compression in template setting, my site is "corrupted". Which css stylesheets should I exclude? I tried to exclude template.css, layout.css, style2.css but there are still problems?

When I see compressed css file from cache/gk there are all (I think) template stylesheets, but the file has 644 permission, so when I run pingdom tool I receive 500 error on file.

Thanks for help

Hi,
I have tried both settings : CSS compression [ON] and/with CSS cache [ON] and it works fine.
So please show me a example of "corrupted" element or URL.

Hi Pawel
I would like to show you some examples, but I can not do it on my live site.
What could cause the errors? I do not use k2. Do I need k2 css style?

Hi,

Did you add any custom css code?

No. I made some small tweaks to current css, but nothing special. I tried manually to exclude some css, but it is quite exhausting work... and doing this on LIVE page is not the best method.

How can I find out where is the problem?

Got it, you should turn on that compression mode for a while for me to test, otherwise I don't know what to do with it :)

You can also try to use JCH Optimize or customize our css / framework.

I tried to set up JCH optimize, but there has been some css errors.

I found other ways how to speed up the loading time. I removed all language files from language folder, just kept english. The change of database to MySQL 5.5 from 5.0 made also its work. My site (800kb, 60 http requests) loading is about 3-4s now, which is not bad.

I believe with css and js compression this time would be even better.
