How to use the module variations?

Hi there,
We're working on the NEWS template.
We'd like to reproduce the format used for the module and menu titles in the demo.
We've tried to do this using the menu variations suffixes without much success.
How to use the suffixes?

Hi, without link I can only guess.
Did you add suffixes with " " SPACE before name of suffixes in module Advanced Options -> Module Class Suffix ?

We've managed to work out how to use the module suffixes.
But unfortunately we've failed to install the Quick Start Package.
Is there a back-end demo available for the NEWS template?
Otherwise, could you tell us how to format the module/menu titles as per the demo?
