Hi,

I've used your GK NEWS template for joomla 3 for this site: www.corrieredellacalabria.it .
I've customized it, now the site is really big and the customer like it, it has a lot of visits and everything goes right.

The big problem is the site size.
In about 4 month the site size grows up from 40 GB till 80GB. The dirs that grow up are
- ../cache/k2 (about 3GB)
- ../cache/k2_extended (~ 12 GB)
- ../cache/page (about 40GB)

- ../media/k2/items/cache (~5.4 GB)
- ../media/k2/items/src (~6.5 GB)

for me, the "strangest" directory seems to be the /cache/page one, cause the dimension is about the sum of the others.
For reducing the site load-time, I've enabled the page cache system, now the pages load faster as never, but I presume the page where saved in this dir.

Do you know a way for reducing this space? Have I to delete the cached page into this dir? And, in the case, what happens to the site?

Waiting for your answers, I really thank you for the time your spend about it.

Bye

Hello,

You can just remove the files from the cache/ subdirectories (or you can empty this cache in the back-end).

Please don't touch the files inside the media directory, because K2 has no option to regenerate the thumbnails.
