How to remove the Date graphic but leave the date

On the template, Publish, I'd like to remove the large graphic that displays the date to the left of article titles from all areas of the template. However, I'd like to be able to still display the date, as regular type, under the article titles.

If I "Hide" creation date, the graphic does not display, but neither does the date under the article titles.

I love everything about this template except that large date graphic.

Could you please post an url to your site?

My site is on a local server while I build it. It's not available online.
