So you want to publish only modules on HomePage without any component like a article yes?

ok, so in fist step add those modules - at least one of them
let me know.
Second step would be adding suffix for home page only to hide this white box.

Why don't you publish module inside article? Hmm.
Than you don't have to add any suffiix nor use tricks.

You don't have to install again.
Maybe use suffix to hide content.

but it doesn't works. I put the suffix in features and ispected with firebug but noppes.
