Hi.

I run a website where there is a main site and 4 sub sites within that main site - all under the same domain. For each of the sub sites I need to apply different colours and styles.

Previously in Joomla I have accomplished this by duplicating my templates and assigning the template to menu items.

Within Publisher I see that there are 4 different template colours available - Freestyle, Retro, Magazine and Christmas but I don't see a way to apply these different colours to different areas within my site.

So the only way to do this seems to be to duplicate the Publisher template. But when I do this all of the tabs and menu items within the duplicated template e.g. I called it "Test" all do not render their names correctly -> the come out as TPL_GK_LANG.

How can I create a new Template colour?
How can I duplicate the Publisher template so I can assign different templates to different areas of my site?

I think I almost have this. I have added a new item to the dropdown in templatedetails.xml which appears under the Template Color option in the Basic Settings tab for the Style. But I don't see a way to link this new dropdown option to a style. In the file structure on disk I can see Style1, Style2, Style3, Style4 corresponding to the existing template colours.

I have added a style called newtemplate1.css by copying the style3.css file (Magazine) but I don't see a way to link this stylesheet to the colour option in the dropdown.

Hi

You do not need to duplicate the template, but just create more styles of the same template and just select a different color option for them. There will be no problem with lack of language file than.

Unfortunatelly I cannot help with new color option since it's not covered with a suppor. But if You will add a new style name in templatedetails.xml and use just a next number for style You should be able to make it easily.
