Hello,

i am using publisher template to this site http://www.pcsteps.gr. I have an issue with google chrome and safari at my search boxes.
The problem with search boxes styling is also to my custom google search module. With firefox it is somehow better but not in the middle.

Also, i cant use " transparent" suffix to my custom google search module

Any ideas on that?

Hi, I tried your search module on chrome, but looks normal.

I suppose that you want to eliminate a white border/padding, yes?

The problem: this google file www.google.com/cse/style/look/v2/default.css - overwrite our gavick styles. You have to "fight" with this, if you need changes.

Look below & click to see details. I suggest to overwrite paddings/background using "!important";

It looks ok, but i have it with the transparent suffix. Also, if i type something in it, it doesn't show really well.
I can edit the google css using web developer, but it seems that i can't find the css files to my server.

Is there something i could change to the gavick's template so google don't overrides it?

Sure, because they are on GOOGLE servers, did you looked at URL ;)

That's why I suggested you to overwrite those styles with your own, with "!important" --> http://webdesign.about.com/od/css/f/blcssfaqimportn.htm

This is fault of google not ours. Second it's because of Document Object Model CSS.
