breadcrumb categories not found to change

we have categories that appear in our breadcrumbs and nowhere else - want to remove them as they are from the demo -

Snowboarding Resorts

and

Photo of the Day.

There are no such categories or descriptions that we can see in K2 or in Joomla categories. Have checked trashed, published, unpublished etc - they keep appearing.
