I love Zoo (much more functional than K2) but I hate the fact that the developer seems to think it should control the view. I have tried using conventional html overrides and also the template override.css and nothing is working. Does anyone know how to apply CSS to the template to override what Zoo creates? Sorry I tried asking on the YooTheme forum but as usual they are not interested in helping out.

Did you try to use styles with !important declarations ? It should overwrite default styles but to give you more details I need to see site with firebug.

Thanks bkrztuk,

I am working local so cannot share the site yet. In Firebug it is pointing to the Zoo CSS cache file. I thought if I cleared the cache it would rebuild it from the template css but it does not. This is a Zoo issue and it adds the declaration to the Zoo css at the bottom of the header so there is no way around using their files (unless I hack it). All I can do is request that they build this to allow the template to take control, so this ends with YooTheme support. Thanks for offering to help though...

To see where you need to make changes you need to disable all compression, cache etc. then you should see full path to files instead of to cached version.

Thanks, I found that I have to create a custom.css file in the Zoo component and then my changes work.

That's fine, in future you surely get more help from yootheme support rather that here on GavickPro forum but we're glad when we can help you.

I wish that were true bkrztuk, more times than not the reply is from a ticked off Mustag that just wants to complain rather than help.
