Can the main homepage article not be K2?

Hi,

Does the featured article on the homepage have to be a standard joomla article? Can this not be k2? I was looking to have the main article at the top with the previous 2 below like in the design but all k2 otherwise I will have to copy each article from joomla into k2 when I am finished featuring it at the top and that will end up effecting the seo if the url is changing.

Your homepage can be any article or content you want to it only depends of 'Home' menu item configuration, please switch from featured articles to K2 item and then you should see K2 content.

Hey bkrztuk thanks for the reply. I got the menu item changed to K2 but can you or anyone else possibly explain the settings of the k2 menu item in order to show the latest item exactly as it sits on the demo.

Please just choose as a source one of K2 category (or K2 featured items) and sort articles by create date - that's all.

As a note to anyone looking for this, it is a bit of extra work but they do provide a package that includes all the elements of the demo. Just setup the demo site and you can easily navigate it and see what they did and how they did it.
