Problem trying to change the template layout

Hi there, in my site there are 2 modules; 1 custom html module containing links to 5 social sites (twitter, facebook, gplus, youtube and picterest) and 1 search module.
Both are positioned in the header position of the template and CSS floated where i would like it to be.

They have to be in all the pages and I don't think my solution is the optimal one. The desired solution would be to create another position below the main menu with the same specs (width and lenght)

Problem is I don't know how to do it without destroying the layout. Can someone help?
