Hello, I installed the joomla 2.5 version of Startup, using the quickstart package.

I am attempting to create a two-column K2 latest items page, like you see here in the demo:
http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/startup ... wo-columns

Since I used the quickstart package, I have not changed any of the settings that were used for this page. All I did was add my own work into the K2 categories and items.

However, the columns are not displaying correctly. It is only showing 1 column. What needs to be fixed?

You can see how it is not working here: http://startup.wallawallawebweavers.com/view-all

Please help! Thank you.

Please go to menu item settings. Here in 'Content Source' section please check if 'Number of columns' is set for 2. In your source code I see only one column so it is this one or you set to much in 'Maximum number of items per user or category' and you don't have enough items to show them in two columns.

I have set the number of columns to 2 already.

I think I have figured out the problem: I only have 1 category selected under the category settings section.
If I select multiple categories with only 1 item shown per category, the page displays like in the demo.

However, that is not what I want. How I want the page to work is to show all of the items from 1 category in 2 columns. Is this possible?

For example, in my portfolio, I want to display all of the businesses for whom I have designed websites. The category is business, and there are 4 items in that category: http://startup.wallawallawebweavers.com ... businesses

How can I display items from this single category in 2 columns?

I checked it. You set 'Maximum number of items per user or category' to 16. It means that page display 16 items from each category you selected. Sometimes you have even numbers of items in category and that is the reason why next to one item there is no second one in line.

Hi guys,

I too would like to have this on my site. I don't have the quickstart package uploaded, but If I need to add the code I can do that I just need to know what css file has the override. I have tried so many things to get this look and I just can't seem to do it.

I sent my login info. Thanks for the support. But can I also just know what the settings are as well? It would be really great if you guys had a section that shows how to do these layouts with our templates. I guess kind of like the Typography page.

Please go to menu item settings. Here in right column you will find 'Content source' section. In this section you will find 'Number of columns' and 'Maximum number of items per user or category' options. Set first one to 2 becasue you want two columns. In second please set 4 or 6 or 8 etc.

It look's that you can't aciheve that for one column. But I added suffix for this page and add some css code to override.css file for you. Now you have items in two columns. Please check it.
