Hello,

I would appreciate some help with the following:

1. I would like to change remove the slides from the front page, i know they are located in image show gk4 module but when i go there it shows no slides, while the slides normally run in the front end. How do i make them appear?

2. I have used startup with jomsocial. I wanted every visitor to be directed to the startup main page and the jomsocial be the home.
What i did was to rename jomsocial as home and then renamed the initial home to welcome and gave it a new location: top nav . From my understanding the, now, welcome has like a ghost position, am i correct? where the top nav is located?

3. Is the mobile menu the menu that will be used when the site is viewed on mobile?

Hi Anton
I am new at gavick and my site does not look at all like the demo...Does one have to make new menus and do the modules oneself for the to work.

Does your module work!. Would appreciate a quick reply if you know how to set the picture in the header and have the slide show.
Thanks
Charles

Hi Charles,

If you want your site to look exactly like demo then download the quickstart package, notice it already includes joomla installation so you are going for a clean install..

Once you do that you will notice that in your modules there is the "image show gk4" module, that one contains the slides on top off the main image. To my installation i can see the module but it does not show the 3 slides.

You can change the main image by going to the folder template->gk_startup->images and then replace the
header_bg.jpg with the image of your choice- keep the same file name though!

@polkadot

Did you try to run the quickstart package ? Where exactly you have problems, maybe you can attach some screenshots etc ?

@anto.k

1. Could you show me on image what part you want to remove ?
2.
From my understanding the, now, welcome has like a ghost position, am i correct? where the top nav is located?

You mean you've changed the menu item position yes ? Did you publish mod_menu module in topnav position ?

3. Yes, exactly ...

hi bkrzuk

I did not do a comple quickstart I just installed the template and the modules- as I want to keep my back up module and the virtuemart which I am trying to incorporate.

I did do a quickstart for the music free template - but this did not display as the demo just had the standard Parls and Obst menu in the standard joomla imstallation

shall I send you my acess code to the backend, so you can have a look?

If you want the same look like on the demo server you need to use quickstart package, this is beyond our support to configure all modules in existing installations. Please run the quickstart package and then let me know where you have problems - I'll try to help.
