Tablet layout - is there a workaround?

I have reviewed this thread, and think I have the same issue:

My inset column (to the left) is excluded from the tablet layout - unfortunately it contains a key navigation menu..

How can I change it to display a left sidebox on the iPad?

(I also have the Restaurant template on another site, and it doesn't have the same problem).

Is there any easy way to make the insert apear at the bottom position instead of placing it in the menu when using template or mobile layout ?

Actually, I don't see it in the top menu..

I will review the original code to see what has changed (I used my own logo & tweaked the header) - would it be in the /layouts folder?

@peter.t.wishart - unfortunately due construction of the website it is not possible :/

@teezone - yes, all files responsible for the template HTML output are placed in the layouts folder.
