Hallo Teitbite,

send you the URL via mail.

OR - is there anybody out there with a tip or an inspiration for that.
Should I try it with css or is that hardcoded somewhere in the php.

This new responsive design will take a little time to understand.
I really tried a lot. Just need a hint! Where to look...

Question again:
How to get the Mainmenu on tablet visible, I ONLY HAVE THE DROPDOWN VERSION like on mobile.
For the width of the Ipad/tablet is a better look/like to have it visible.

ANYBODY out there to help a blonde one??

Hi

I've seen Your site. But I must say it's very messy any I cannot even say for sure if it's not broken because of modifications/content or corrupted file while moving to server. Please just to exclude some issues please reinstall the template. Disable all cache/compression and send me an access to joomla panel.

hi teitbite,

looks messy I told you ;) but it is everything ok - look on magazin or termine this is "mostly" done - frontpage is messy I know.
I still have less time... for layout frontpage i need first the way it display on tablet and mobile... than I will doing the rest. That for - my only problem is the tablet (target device) on this I will continue with the rest. Mobile is fine I struggel with the tablet

You are a real good designer too, sorry for hurting you eyes!

On tablet I have done some changes like use the suffix half... I will redo this now - five minutes.

Have done...
but I only want to have expand main menu on tablet like in BIKE NEWS, thats all - ok not - I still have on mind to get the tablet look/like a little smarter - mainbody / content is too big I need less width. in this case it could space to have one column of the boxes/sidebar.... but ....

Stuck on my problems... as you can see my original magazin online is working fine... so far.
I had to do the change to responsive all by myself - without a 75 hour day I still have only the possibility to asked you if this can be done or it is impossible.

Sorry, most of my problems I handel by reading the forum issues or by myself... and i had a lot.
But now I have to transfer the whole magazin into this new responsive design - great but with "one woman show"....

As you can see on the Fashion Demo on tablet... there is no expand menu! Only dropdown version!
As in Bike News there IS!

Any way to have it??

Hi

Screen is from an iPad2 too. So Your problem may be connected with cache. Try disable all cache for website and template and clear it on site and browser. Let me know if this is giving any other results.

Hello teitbite,

I fetch the update and install it and it there is no changes...
It could be helpful to get a documentation about these updates, so changes by user for example in css can be saved. A lot of work if you don´t know what files are changed in the update version.

But anyhow - after cleaning cache etc. ---- it make no differences to the behaviour of the iPad3 :(

Renamed Mobile.css and Tablet.css to bullshit ( or delete )

gk.browser in lib folder :

$this->result->set('mobile', false);
$this->result->set('tablet', false);

@WeWillWebdesign

I ask just to get you right - means you disable the mobile and tablet css - means I can´t handle changes on mobile or tablet just for getting the menu on iPad3... or/and having the desktop version on tablet?
I can´t test it cause I am not at my working place...

In case of that, I give up the benefit of this responsive method... to have the ability to make individual changes on this devices.

(My) The struggle is with iPad new.

You using music template so far you have the same problems with the tablet view and on the iPad3 or general problems with this?

cheers gesa

Just get a message from my sister, she has a Samsung 10.1 (1280 x 800)
and she have all 4 columns like desktop version... no tablet!
And yes there are the menu toooooo.

I really get crazy now!!!

@ teitbite
I will try it - but again - means disable mobile and tablet css - and than I can´t have any control over the layout options on that devices?

But anyhow - after talking with my sister - I think of loosing the control of the displaying mode on tablets and smartphones/iPhones anyhow :o

and no sidebar module appear - empty space - may this results of my grid width (is 217)??

And still NO MENU expand!

I am a really unsatisfied one ;)

It is no problem with the grid width... I tried it.
The sidebar will not appear only the empty space right on the mainbody...

I try do disable the inset modules with notablet, but still stays the black box from the box menu background.

AND the desktop version have loosing the inset too cause of template.css is .notablet: display none -
make no sense if I want it not on tablet this must be visible on desktop.

I am confused or I am right?

Ok, but there are no mobile or tablet css commands in the head.php
Only for the usual css files like template joomla gk-stuff etc.

I missed something?

Meanwhile I looked into the helper.layout.php - doesn´t mean i want to change something there... but there are media queries too - in the css i seen the @media .... but here are maybe the roots of it?? This are taken in priority OR the media queries in the css are taken place first??

The Browser will know which will be next to be taken, so its must be first in line!? Than the css will be choose.
Could there in the helper.layout.php the little monster?

It would be great to have some attention for not a small issue on a template that is out since may.
I really don´t understand the people who are using this without take control on the responsive looklike on different viewports... this is responsive for.

If you can´t have a template for a really working responsive design - even the others like Music and Game News the same!

Meet Gavern is displaying very good - it on Joomla 3.0!
On tablet perfect!

Joomla 3.0 can´t be the reason for better working!!

Teitbite,

You might allready be aware of this, but this might be a iPad 3 issue, as Safari on iPad 3 (and 2?) is hardcoded to allways request the mobile version of a website :(

I'm having this exact issue with template Bikestore, and also hope for a workaround that covers this template :)

Hope to hear good news soon!

Cheers,
Zorroson ;)

HI

The whole idea of this template is that it fits withing devices :) Anyway You should start from replacing the whole body tag start line into a clean <body> and show me the site than. I'll see what needs to be removed next.
