can't add k2 content?

When I try to add a new article it will not show on the "home" link but will show in "other" places, however, even when it shows I can't seem to drill down to the actual article. Anyone experience anything like this?

I am currently re-loading the template through quickstart. My desire is to use this template with k2 exclusively as a store front - anyone got any comments/concerns/suggestions?
