Please note that if you intend to use an ecommerce template as an online store you would need to use Joomla 2.5, as this template is compatible with Virtuemart 2.6 only.


What does this mean for those of us who used this template for our J2.5.x site and have upgraded to the latest secure release - (currently) Joomla 3.4.5? And VirtueMart 3.0.6? Does BikeShop break VM functionality when using current versions or are BikeShop template styles broken? Please indicate with more detail. Thanks.

I ask because we have recently updated but need details so we can make informed decision about whether a complete template change is required. Thanks in advance.

Never mind. StoreBox is effectively the same theme without the compatibility warning. Can I assume that I should be replacing BikeStore with Storebox for safe upgrade to J3.4.x with VM3x?

Hi

BikeStore is simply too old to and would require a complete rebuild than patching it over and over, this is why we have to drop template updates after 2years of it's release.

Names of module positions should be the same in newer tempaltes, so You can use one of them, some tweaks may still be needed, but You can find all demo settings in our documentation.
