On many instances through BikeStore template the text fields in Internet Explorer are too narrow and text is almost invisible. How to fix it?

in which component ?
In which IE Version 8,9, 10 ?
Could you add here URL ? It will help me...

because some form components uses its own styles for form fields - so hard to say...

This is in the last version of IE that comes with Windows 8.1, but I know that even prety older version have the same problem. All textiput fields were affected - in the login form, in the cart, etc. I fixed this by adding min-height: 35px in
select,
textarea,
input[type="text"],
input[type="password"],
input[type="url"],
input[type="email"]

of gavick's joomla.css
