You are using Joomla 2.5 - which have recaptcha inside. You have to enable it.

If not so much, you have to use different antyspam solutions from here:

I talk about it because sometimes it better to have at least two antyspam tools enabled ... since there are few tools that can break over 60% of recaptcha protections.

For my private websites I use contact form created by me, that using required additional field(s) that most of e-mail spam robots still can not brake. But you don't have to install components to build simple form, if you don't want to waste your precious time.

Sure, even for Joomla 1.5 I saw & use such a extensions. Now there are available for both J2.5 and J3.x.
