what if you upgrade gk4 to gk5 within bikestore?

i would like to upgrade to gk5 within bikestore. Do you recommend this?

upgrade GK4 to GK5 - but what you want to upgrade a module , which one? News Show Pro ?

Those are different modules so you can use them separately, so you can not upgrade, just install NSP GK5.

p.s.
Because News Show Pro GK5 is a new, better version - It's still upgraded , we still add new feature. We suggest to use this version, but remember that may need some small CSS to look like old one in this template.

but one thing remains unclear: on one of my sites i installed nsp gk5, and nsp gk4 was overwritten, while on another platform, after installing nspgk5, nsp gk4 still exhisted, and could " live" next to each other.... ?

Yes, but we always suggest to make backup.
Modules should not be overwritten because they have different folder names: mod_news_pro_gk5 and mod_news_pro_gk4
