Hello,

we have to relaunch a multi language shop site of our customer. I tried several language settings with joomla 2.5 multi language support and alternatetivley with the buyed josetta component. My problem: I can only choose one menu in the template settings/menu tab.

So if I change the language the menu disappears. It doesn't matter if I choose the joomla multi language functionality or with support of josetta.

How or where can I make the necessary settings for displaying the correct language in the main menu?

thank you for your help

Hi

Here is an instruction how to make it with joomla: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/qu ... oomla-1-7/

I do not know josetta, but it's much easier to make menu with falang component. Maybe You should try it with menu only since josetta will cover rest of the translations.

Thank you for your quick response. Now I tried altogether three different methods to manage this problem.

1st try: I installed falang a couple of weeks ago. The NSP made trouble. An error message occured. This solution isn't working.

2nd try: I buyed Josetta. The described problems occured. Anythin-digital (maker of Joesetta) said that all gavick templates aren't using the standard menu module. So this will be a gavick only problem.

3rd try: so I tried to manage the multi language features with joomla and made all the correct multi language settings. Now the main menu changes, but all the NSP and VM image shows aren't displaying. A combination of this workaround AND Josetta isn't working either.

Your proposal isn't working either. And now I'm runnin' out of ideas...

Hi

Our templates are using menu as a build in system, that's to force using a megamenu solution we prepared styles and effects for.

I've never used josetta, so I do not know how this works, but I've always been able to manage multilanguage sites with standard joomla functions and a help from Falang to translate menu.

I think I know the issue about NSP You have mentioned. If You are using VM than NSP needs to be duplicated for each language and attached to a proper language in the same module position. The trick is that You need to configure and save module with a language by being logged to admin panel with the same language You are making the module for. Unfortunately it's NSP which is not supporting multilanguage, but this is a workoround I've discovered while using it.

Hi, about sidebar question which you asked via PM.
Right now you have 28% set to #gkSidebar
I suggest those fix:
1) In template settings use 20% instead 28%
2) And use this CSS code
Code: Select all
#gkSidebar {
    padding-left: 20px;
}

Where, you will find in my footer
