I have searched the forum, but am not able to link the menu item to the contact page.

I've created the "Name" and linked to single contact and the same name I created earlier, but am still getting a 404 error.

Is it because I am creating the site in a subdirectory on my server and not the root?

Very frustrated at this simple task of linking and have spent 2 hrs going in circles testing.

Thanks.

Looks like my problem is in linking menu items to their respective pages. The URL is the alias and not the page identifier (example: index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=69). Seems like if I can get this right, I can build the site properly.

Hi

About modules settings documentation You've asked in PM. We do not have something like this, we provide a quickstart instead. If You want to copy module configuration You should install quickstart in a new location and have it co compare.

Contact is linking now correctly. But honestly I do not know why it wasn't in the first place. All I've done was to change a template used by contact page to default.

I determined the problem was i had the "SEO Optimized URLs" selected in the Global configs. when I unselected this, everything started linking up. Thanks again.
