Hits counter not updating

I have an issue on my site with the BikeStore joomla 2.5 template

The hit counter on a standard article page is not updating/displaying correctly
It is very important for my client to track the number of people who have viewed the article.
Hits is working and displaying correctly within K2 articles... but the standard article is not working ?

Anyone had a similar issue or even better, know how to fix this ?

Hi,
please switch template to default one (beez) and check if issue still exist.
