Problem with virtuemarr and german language

Just installed the quickinstallation package and then the german language pack for joomla. when I switch the frontend to german all virtuemart products disappeared. when I go to the virtuemart product tab in the backend I get the following error message "vmError: exeSortSearchListQuery Table 'xxxx.xxx_virtuemart_products_de_de' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS l.`virtuemart_product_id` FROM `xxx_virtuemart_products_de_de` as l JOIN `xxx_virtuemart_products` AS p using (`virtuemart_product_id`) group by p.`virtuemart_product_id` ORDER BY product_name DESC LIMIT 0, 4"

it seems there are some language tables missing in the db. tried to install virtuemart again (without deinstalling it) and update the aio, still the error remains.

if i switch back to english, the products are there.

how can i solve this?

went to phpmyadmin and renamed all virtuemart tables with en_gb-suffix to de_de, then installed the german language pack, switched the page to german, went to the virtuemart configuration and added the german language to the multilanguage setting and deleted the english option.
all products are displayed again!
