I think that gavick support team should consider giving some serious documentation about this issue.. Reading all the forums and can't figure it out yet..

When everything was by default english with the quickstart installation i could see product in gk4

Active default language el-GR
Virtuemart language el-GR

I have altered database tables to make my products visible in Greek language. What are the changes that have to be made in order mod_new_pro_gk4 to recognize virtuemart as installed and show the products..

Please clarify this issue

Hi

Did you check on News Show Pro GK4 module if it is set to all language?
Do you have Languages Settings well configure on Virtuemart Configurations?

In module manager,
the languages is set to ALL

In addition, virtuemart works just fine with being set up in Greek for both site and virtuemart, it's only that i can't show any products in the gk4

I'm afraid you need to also create the product on english language on VM.
On the product detail page, you just need to select english language and save.

I remember i add some similar problem on one installation and after this step, NSP started working fine.

Don't forget to enable "Use english as fallback for untranslated strings" on VM Multilanguage settings.

So in case that i don't want to create english products, and use just the english one, there isn't any database conf that i could do to make the module read the greek products?

You mean that i have to dublicate them in English language(but having them written in Greek) to make the products visible from the module

Yes that's it.
Even they still are written on greek, you must also save as english.
This solved a problem on one installation that i've made.
The surprising is that after a while, i stopped doing that and News Show Pro GK4 still displays correctly all articles.
Maybe we can improve this relationship with VM in future updates.

But now try like i said and check if it works.
