Adding new template position

I want to add a new template position that is Sidebar on the left of the header, Can anyone let me know how to do that.

Where to find flypage.tpl.php, I cannot see it in quickstart which i have installed on server.

flypage.tpl.php in virtuemart at components\com_virtuemart\themes\default\templates\product_details which i can not find in the quickstart

I try to find relation between the VM flypage and adding new template position but I can't ... Template VM styles are in template/html/com_virtuemart directory.
