How to create an inset position on the left of mainbody

Is it possible to create an inset position on the left of the mainbody (inset 60% and mainbody 40%). This is to be used in the frontpage only.

Does this afecct te responsive layout?

The better way will be duplicate the template, assign it to the homepage menu item and set the sidebar to left position.

Thanks dziudek, but that was not what I have in mind because it doesn´t solve my nedds.

What I want to create is a 3 collum in the homepage where sidebar position will be one of the three collums.

Is this possible and how?

In this case it needs complex custom work which is beyond our support - the page was created for the layout with the two columns layout and implementation of the third column is quite complex, especially in order to get the compatibility with the responsive web design used in the template.
