Do You mean that nothing new is visible on frontpage or that change was not saved ? If it was the first case than please check if there is nothing published in mainbody position. If it's not the case than please send me an access to joomla panel and url to Your website.

Yes, it was. Some modules have been enabled in mainbody position.
