How to change size of icon without moving template down?

Im trying to make the logo module bigger without moving the entire template. It keeps pushing down the template instead of just overlaying.. check the http://www.big305.com to see what i'm talking about... i need the logo to be bigger than what it is now and I know how to change it in the css, but how do I do it without affecting the entire template. It also repeats but i'll assume that's because i haven't set the right size file in that area.

Did you change logo type from image to text or are you using text and you would like to increase font size without moving template down ?
