Hi, i have use the creative template on one of my Joomla sites, very impressed with some of the features.

I have developed the site Firefox, when scrolling up and down a page with the parallax effect it scrolls really smootly, but when I view the same effect in IE8 or Chrome the parallax effect is really jumpy.

I have also tested this using the gavick demo site that uses the creative template and that has the same jumpy effect when using IE or Chome.

The effect looks really messy when you use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down the page except when using firefox.

Can anyone else confirm if they have a similar issue when using different browsers?

Cheers

Hi

I'm afraid Parallax effect is not fully supported by all browsers.
Why? Because besides small javascript support, it's based on CSS3 transitions.

I'm not sure, but to have it full cross browsers support it would need to have full javascript based, which turn to heavily JavaScript performance, because of the complex manipulation of positions of all the elements throughout the page.

But Dziudek (our Lead Developer) is the correct person to confirm this.

Cheers

It is really strange, because I've checked the Parallax effect on the IE and there was no problem.

I've developed it under Chrome the whole time and there was no problems with it. Maybe it is a computer efficency problem? The effect is based on the onScroll event. The other possible reason of the problem is a mouse driver - maybe the onScroll event isn't triggered enough often? Did you tried to use other mouse?

I have the same problem. Works very smoothly in Firefox, not so smoothly in Opera (but acceptable) and very jumpy in IE and Chrome. Chrome is clearly the worst of them :-(

This really ruins otherwise very beautiful design.

Is there a chance for fixing this?

Hi

After respective analyse, we conclude that this problem definitely depends from the scroll mouse action. Probably Chrome and IE9 are getting more precisely the scroll values what cause the problem in this case.
It seams Safari also have the same problem as well.

Our Lead Developer will try to create some interpolating function to smooth the results from the scroll function... but he needs time.

Watch for future updates and i'm sure he will bring up a good solution ;)

I love the template and its effect but this smoothness problem with ie and chrome is bad enough to not take the template into account.

Looking forward for that patch

Too bad for this template. It is a shame that it works in Mozilla FF. Any news or solution?

Solution was mentioned few times on few topics - use the mouse with smooth scrolling, currently there is no other fix for it.

This is not really a "fix"...

Should i tell my visitors to buy better mouse for smooth website experience? I dont thing anyone would get it...

Shame we must throw this template out because its not optimized for most current browsers :-/

Really guys?

I bought the subscription for this template for our company,

We have an IT company - I can't tell people to push the middle button in when scrolling.

How ridiculous is that; and surely you can make a work around for each of the three biggest browser platforms
FF/IE/CHROME.

FF is perfect - chrome and IE is just terrible, so I don't see how this was developed in Chrome when it doesn't work in Chrome?

Cross platform is such a necessity with what you guys are doing and you should really support your products guys.

Kind regards,
Disgruntled customer.

Is there no solution for this problem? Creative Parallax looks horrible in IE11. When i scroll-down everything seems fine, but if i scroll-up animations and positions of elements looks random.

Oh-oh, is here no support at all? I'm a new subscriber ant all these unanswered topics are not a good sign.

If I'm right the fix is something like "you hold it wrong"?
