newbie question.... where's the search box etc

We've been using an old Gavick Pro template for about five years and it's been great. Finally time to upgrade to Joomla 3.2 and I chose Game News... I'm slowly getting back into Joomla. However, three problems:

1) Where's the search box? How do I get a simple search box to display somewhere?
2) How do I get the animated social media icons to display at top, with their nice little animation etc?
3) News Show has been a nightmare and is not working at all. I FINALLY got something to display and it's only displaying a big block of text listing the title, the author, the image location, etc.

ad 1) It works exactly this same like it was on Joomla 1.5 - you can publish on available position: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/gen ... templates/

Use "social" position and Custom HTML module and inside add this code:

Those icons are from CSS (we used background & background-position) and templates/gk_gamenews/images/social_icons.png

I suggest to install Quickstart on localhost or on subdomanin to check how all works.
Joomla 3.2 is not so simple to figure out like it was 1.5 or 2.5.
Nobody said that NSP and "modern" templates are simple like it was years ago.

GameNews - is also quite old template, so some solutions are outdated.

Thanks once again, I installed the social icons in two seconds! It looks awesome. Is there a search box that comes with this style or do I design it myself? (padding etc). I'd like to put it up top, across from the social icons.

For some reason my menu is also displaying twice. The other issue is I want to make everything a fixed width instead of percentage, because I need my right menu to be at least 310px instead of 33 % everywhere.
