Hello,

I have a problem with the main menu.
If I go to EXTENSIONS >>>> MODULE MANAGER >>>>> MAIN MENU >>>> BASIC OPTIONS and set a start and end level this option doens't work if menu is in "menu1" template position.
Could you explain why.

Thanks and best regards.

Hi,
"menu1" is ONLY menu Module Positions, not typical module position!
Please read my article + comment here: http://gavick.com/magazine/how-to-loadi ... items.html

For Menu module I suggest to use the following module positions:
usermenu
topnav
footer_nav
topmenu

Hi, in fact this is not a good solution because of others menu already exisitng in these module positions.
I have found that the best thing to do is go to TEMPLATE SETTINGS then MENU SETTINGS and ajust level here to override Joomla module settings.
