problem with banner

hi.

i've got this kind of problem:

if i enable a banner into banner_top position, when i try to log in as a registered user, i've got a blank page.

because i'm working on local, i tried also with a fresh installation and with quickstart version, and in both cases i've got that same situation.

but if i use and html module into banner_top position all works fine.


any ideas?

If position is showing fine with custom html module then I believe this points the problem to banner module.
You can check this by assigning default joomla template in your template settings to see whether it is template related or not.

You can try copy the module from latest joomla and copy it over to your modules folder overwriting previous files.

If this doesn't work make sure banners are outputting something, such as you have already setup some banners to display.

If this doesn't work in another folder install joomla from joomla.org and create banner / banner module and check if its working fine.

Position into the template works fine with custom html module.

Problems rises with banners-module.

I use standard joomla core, and it seems to be a template problem.


by the way, i solved the situation temporaly with an html module, but...
if there is a solution for this kind of problem will be better...
