Internet Explorer issue

Using GKgamenews template Joomla 2.5.8 and VM2.0.15.e

When going to a product details page without a photo, the page looks ok in Firefox, Chrome and IE.

If you go to a product details page with a product photo the page is gigantic in Internet Explorer only. Firefox and Chrome are OK.

We have checked it with a different template and there is no problem in IE9.
With the Gamenews template we have the earlier subscribed problem.
Since this is template related, we would appreciate it if someone of Gavick would look into it.

We have installed IE10 and the product detail page is OK.
Is Internet Explorer 9 not supported anymore?????
