Hi, i have just download today the gamenews quickstart, latest realease, template version Gavern v.3.6.1 under Joomla 2.5.7.

After installation, just test in the computer, work ok and responsive if i change the window size, and the menu button works well.

The problem is when try to navigate from my mobile, android based, the menu pop up is not opened!! As i told, nothing installed over the pack.

Same pack but based on version Gavern v.3.4 under Joomla 2.5.6 is working well. So where do you think is the problem? Gavern version? Joomla version ?

Yes, yes, the same problem in the demo site. As i told you before, i go back to version 3.4 and the template is working well, go to 3.6.1 and not working.
I can see the menu button, but not response if you try to click.

I think this is your device problem - please look here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6620832/2012-11-25%2014.37.29.png I've checked this issue on two android devices with different screen resolutions - there is no problem.

Not agree with you, in the same android device 3.4 version is working well, but not the latest release 3.6.1.
Other template, as for example "startup" is working well. I thin you can compare those files have been updated in the latest releases to discover the bug.
More information:
demo.gavick.com/joomla25/gamenews fails: menu is not opened in the mobile android
but
http://demo.gavick.com/index.php?month=Aug&year=2012 is going well!!

Thanks in advance

The main problem is that this two URL's loads the same template :) I've checked demo.gavick.com/joomla25/gamenews you are saying that it is not working but here you have screenshots :

- here you can see URL : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6620832/2012-11-26%2013.31.16.png
- and here opened menu : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6620832/2012-11-26%2013.31.22.png

Bkrztuk, i believe you if you say it is going well in your device, but not in mine: Samsumg Galaxy SPlus Android 2.3.4
What device are you using?
What is the technical reason you can offer to me to explain why in one url is working well and not in the other?
Why the template 3.4 is working well but not the 3.6.1?
There are other posts having the same problem.

I think i have the solution:
In template version v 3.6.1 int he file template.css
if I remove the lines:

body a {-webkit-transform: translateZ(0);}

the template is working again.

I compare version 3.4 and 3.6.1, detect the files were changed, and replace step by step. Using winmerge I found the problem in template.css and in the described line .

Could you please confirm and explain if we can remove that line ?

Regards,
Emilio

I'm using HTC One X but I've also checked this with Sony XPERIA and there is no problem. If removing this line fix your problem it is proper solution but it looks like this is problem of android browser is some system versions.

So ... do you plan to change this feature in next releases or add a protection to avoid this type of problems ?

The main problem is that I can't see the 'live' example of not working menu - I've opened the Android 2.2 emulator and the problem don't occur. Do you have any other device to test this problem ?

Hi, i tested again and in a Samsung galaxy S3 is workig well, but not two different Samsung Galaxy S Plus: it is clear it is a problem that can depend on the mobile internet browse.

What i try to inform you is the template has this bug for some mobile internet browsers. I think is important as it affects the main menu, that could not be opened, and i gave you the line in the template.css is causing the problem.

I don't know if it is possible to change this code depending of the browser or you just have to remove this improvent in the new release of the template.css. If you need, i can send you a video of myself clicking in the menu and see it is not opened.

I have one question, you are testing version on demo server or your installation ? Could you check whether you have the same problems on other templates from our demo site ?

Hi,
tested in demo.gavick.com with Sansumg Galaxy S Plus
demo.gavick.com/joomla25/gamenews ----------- fails
demo.gavick.com/joomla25/startup ----------- --- no problem
demo.gavick.com/joomla25/fest ----------- --- no problem
demo.gavick.com/joomla25/creative ----------- --- no problem

So only gamenews seems to have the problem, the same i have in my installation.

You use stock browser yes ? Do you have any other one on your device ? Looks like the problem exist only in some case but I need to know whether this is Android version issue or browser problem. On devices where I can test it it working fine so I need more details.
