Hi. I built a site using GameNews template and it looks superb on my 27" inch Apple, but when viewed on PC with 1280x1024 pixels (Highest 32bit) display settings, it don't look so hot (on all browsers).

The main issue is that I am using a Squirrel font that looks beautiful on my Apple but is barely legible on the PC.

In this instance, is there anything I can do other than change the font to improve the display? I really don't want to have to do this...

Hi,

I've a bad message - unfortunately all external fonts looks often worse than in OS X on the Windows browsers, because Windows browser have no built-in antyaliasing (the only browser with built-in antyaliasing for text is Safari for Windows as I know).

In general you should check which font is displayed properly on the windows browser, because some fonts looks ugly other looks good, but only standard fonts are really antyaliased. And there is no easy way to use different fonts on different platforms additionally I don't recommend solutions like this, because it will cause problems with the text layout etc.

Thanks for your advice. I've retained one Squirrel font but switched to a standard for the other one... ;-) Good to learn about the antyaliased fonts---essential knowledge!
