Hi

I cant seem to find an accurate map of module positions.

I have seen the layout map ..

http://demo.gavick.com/index.php?month=Aug&year=2012

which says it si for bikestore... even so it does not explain module postions...

I have asked questions related to this and not had answers. All joomla template developers I have seen.
Yootheme, JoomlaShack etc
http://wright.joomlashack.com/demo/module-positions
http://www.yootheme.com/demo/joomla/tasty

have a map of possible module potions within the layout.

This is not the same as the layout whihc is all I can see on GAvickpro All the layout says is a module can go here in this line... but.. not how many ...

Also were is the fixed toobar at the top of the page on the demo.

is there a reason why this is not included on you site as it would be very helpful.. 8-)

Better documentation would save time: thsi fir example is really clear... I would like to stick with your team but I am getting frustrated   by trying to work out what could be documented ... :?

Hi

Module positions are attached to all our templates as a subpage. For GameNews You can find it here: http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/gamenew ... Itemid=107

Black rectangles are not module positions but static elements of a tmplate, so You cannot use it as such.

Top bar is having 3 module positions: social, topnav, usermenu. So if You set anything in one of this positions topbar will be visible.

hello

the map does not show module positions as I pointed out. IIt does not tell you how many modules you can have in a row.

For example in a template top 1 position I can publish two or more modules but it mainbody top only one.

as I said

" I have seen the layout map ..

http://demo.gavick.com/index.php?month=Aug&year=2012"

that does not seem to match to modules. I have as a result tried to publish more than one module in mainbodytop which is in grey but it does not work.

I now have problems with the template in i.e which means that the modules are cut off at the edges when I resize to make it wider. Is this related? it means I will probably have to scrap my current site and move ot a new template which can resize.

You can publish more than one module on the mainbody_top module position but it will be displayed in the one column. The top1/top2 module positions are configured to display modules in 3 columns, the bottom1/bottom2 module positions are configured to display modules in 6 columns. The rest of the modules is prepared to display modules in the one column.

Thank you! that was the exact answer I was looking for.... would you consider mapping that out so that can be seen at once it is very helpful. I discovered it by trial and error and it was very frustrating. I think I am going to have to give up the site I was trying to make and move to another template theme.

the problem for me I like the look and feel of the theme gamenews but I really want these features in a template layout for a business site... the fixed reader, bright colours..

I also can't work out how to easily change the themes styles and font sizes. it woudl take too long to do it all without documentation which offers instrucitons...so while i admire you work and support system and expertise I am stuck...!

Hi

This minor changes You've mentioned ale also easy to handle. Please simply use a developer tool as for example Firebug (a plugin for Firefox) and You will be able to see all css settings for selected element, than You can make changes live and simply copy modified css class to override.css file, please remember to allow using of this file in template setting.

Additionaly in template settings You are able to select different fonts styles. Here are some informations about settings available https://www.gavick.com/documentation/ta ... framework/
