I transferred the site using akeeba (3.0 compatible) and when I launched it on a new server there was what seems to be missing CSS from the back-end in ARTICLES and CUSTOM HTML modules only.

I did try overwriting the entire admin folder in the root, did not help.

Any clue what this might be? I would be more than happy to share a super admin login with a moderator if necessary. This website is at www.operationcoexist.org and currently unlocked.

If we cannot get this to work I would love to get advice on how I could get most of the website transferred to a 2.5 site. (ie importing K2 data and/or using a new quickstart package and use the same database without overwriting existing tables)

Thanks awesome Gavick team. We just happily renewed our membership today!

Probably you should ask on akeeba support, please check whether this missing CSS file exist and file permissions. You can enabled Joomla! debug mode - maybe there you will find more details. My advise is to start from checking the file permissions for all directories and then compare the php.ini settings.

thanks bkrztuk. I made a big mistake though. After moving the site I saw everything seemed to be fine at first glance... So... the original files on the old server are gone. All I am left with is an Akeeba backup file and a slightly broken website.

Could you advise if installing a new quickstart on a temp domain and linking it to the current database would keep most of the site in tact? I would preferably like to use 2.5

For future reference the solution to this problem is as follows:

Joomla 3.0 requires the PHP ZIP plugin to be enabled on the server, apparently. So I put a ticket in to my host to install PHP ZIP, solved all my issues.

Thanks for posting solution but Joomla! installler don't mark any problems ? You should see problems in first installation screen that your server configuration don't pass all requirements.
