Hello,

I browsed the posts and could not find anything on this problem.

Our website is engagemexico.com using the fest template + Joomla 2.5

When people try to post it on Facebook the only preview image that appears is one from the "demo" images that came with the template.

I already checked visually and the image is not there, in addition to that I checked the source code and I couldn't find a link to the image in it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you!

Hi,

Probably it is connected with the Facebook bot cache - probably your website was crawled earlier and after 24hours or even later images used in the like information on the wall will be refreshed.

Thank you for your reply!

That makes sense but, when I loaded the site in to the domain there were no demo images any more and also this keeps happening after a week I loaded the site. I would think that the cache refreshes more of than every week.

What do you think?

Again, Thank you for your time.

Thank you.

http://engagemexico.com/ - You can look at the main page or paste it in your Facebook status so you can see the preview image that I am talking about.

I think that you have some demo Featured article, which would be displayed on the frontpage if the mainbody module position will be empty. Please remember that for the facebook crawlers our templates uses the Facebook view, which will display on the homepage the latest featured articles from com_content. I recommend to place in the com_content one featured article with your logo as a image.

Hello,

Following your recommendation I unpublished all content that was marked as "featured" (even if it didn't show in the main page) and left only 2 articles featured, one in the K2 and one on the regular content system, both including only two images-logos.

When I enter http://engagemexico.com/index.php there is a preview but when I enter http://engagemexico.com/ there is no preview at all. I am concerned because obviously people are just going to use the domain.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your help.

Please check it once again - I've refreshed the Facebook Share Cache for your both URLs and now in both cases the logo appears correctly.
