Hello,

the registration form unfortunately does not work. if someone wants to sign up, the system shows error messages.

Login with Facebook works fine but not the standard sign up form. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

Alexandra

Could you translate this messages to english language ? Could you check whether the same happen on default Joomla! template like Beez ? Please let me know about results.

If the same happen with other templates this is probably Joomla! issue. Please make sure that registration is enabled and if it will not help the only way is to re-install Joomla.

registration is enabled and I used your quickstart package to install joomla incl. the template. allready had to install it various times because there is another bug. if a link or a menu is deleted where modules are assigned to, the modules stop working (backend layout of the modules detail page is messed up -no saving possible). took some time to recognize this and was a real pain in the a**** to start from scratch again and again..

so what´s your recomendation: to start with a plain joomla install and don´t use the quickstart package?

Of course quickstart package is recommended and the fastest solution but firstly make sure that package is properly downloaded (no errors during download and upload to ftp) then make sure that your hosting pass all Joomla! requirements. Quickstart is nothing more like clean Joomla! from joomla.org and our template.

Did you try with clean Joomla! from joomla.org ? If the problem exist on default template it is surely related with core Joomla! files.

I'm just curious as to what registration form is being used with this template? I see the mod_gk_register module and I have it enabled, but when I click on it nothing happens. I've tried Firefox, IE, and Chrome.

If, not, what's a good registration form to use with this template?

Our template use some customized default register form called mod_gk_register. The registration process works with default register form ? You can try to create new menu item with type "User registration" and check it.
