Speakers Slug

Hi.

I'm trying to change the speakers slug to "type" so it reads my domain.com/type rather than /speakers.

I've made the changes to the speakers settings page. Then change the .php file names as stated under the saved settings. Then ( as per other advice on here) I've re saved the permalink settings.

Unfortunately I am still getting page not found and don't know what to try next! Any guidance gratefully received.

Please disregard, appears to be sorted now.

I followed the instruction through again using that exact example and it work fine. I went back and tried with my favoured slug (type) again, but despite doing everything exactly the same I had the page cannot be found error again. I've managed to make it work using a slightly different slug, so I don't know if there was some kind of conflict using the word type but it doesn't appear this word can be used!!

Working now with alternate slug though.
