I have installed Fest theme from quickstart package. Everything ran fine, without any errors and warnings.
But homepage looks just like a blogroll - no header, no menu, no countdown. Menu in a dashboard is uncomplete - there's no Widgets or Menu in Appearance, no visual editor in posts and the text (can't even switch between Visual and Text tabs), form to enter content of post/page is unactive. One new item in dashboards menu is "G" icon with link to Customize page in it.

For me it looks like not all files have copied to your hosting company server correctly - please upload entire unzipped package once again.

Ive downloaded and uploaded it once again. Without any errors, then installed it once again (new database etc). Same result.

After installation the front page was blank. Just white screen. In dashboard Appearance menu i found information about broken theme (see attachment). As you can see there are two Fest themes on the list. After switching to the other theme instance (with thumbnail) situation is like a described in first post.

Are the errors exactly same as previous?

Yes, the same.

I've installed few other themes (Bluap, John), and the same problems occured - blank page under theme options, no widgets and menu in admin menu... I've try to install theme on my other existing blog - still the same problems.

However, themes MusicState and MeetGavernWP seems to work fine.

So you are not using quickstart but standard theme installation?
What WP version do you use?

I've tried both ways. Version 3.9

Very strange.
I have just installed clean WP 3.9, then downloaded Fest, John and Bluap templates, installed and activated - all works completely fine. Perhaps this is some strange server configuration?

Could you please send me a PM with:
1. URL to your website where this issue can be seen
2. login and password of user with admin/super-admin privileges (please create one for me)
3. link to this thread

My Quickstart installation won't complete because it says the style.css is missing. I'm uploading the exact zip I'm downloading from this stie to the wordpress theme installation. What gives? I need this resolved asap.
Thanks

Quickstart shouldn't be used with theme installation from WP.
Quickstart is an entire WP installation structure:

I realized that after a bit more research but when I tried copying the contents into my FTP folder on GoDaddy.. it wouldn't allow any uploads because it claimed it couldn't read php, it also wouldnt allow for more than one upload at a time (which can't be right since there are a ton of files in the quickstart folder). Im a designer by trade not a developer so I really have no idea what I am doing. Is there a for dummies version of this?

Quickstart should be the easiest way. I would suggest to contact hosting company for support.
