Hide Widgets from my Pages?

I might be doing something wrong, but it looks like your demo, the Countodown widget only displays on your main page.

I've created an 'About' page using the Event page template. I don't want the countdown widget (or any other widgets) to display on this page (or any of my pages other than the homepage). How / where can I turn this off?
