Hi,

I would like to create my own color scheme for Fest-Child and stumbled upon this old post:
https://www.gavick.com/forums/fest-wp/o ... 22244.html

Now I have several questions concerning "dziudek"'s last reply:
1. Can I copy an entire existing color scheme and edit it?
2. Will it automatically include the other css-files like extensions.css?
3. How should I copy it to Fest-Child?
4. Since I will add my own css rules (not only for color), how will it be affected if the theme is updated?
5. Can the new color scheme's .css file be override.css?

I am looking forward to your insights.
Best wishes :)

To make things short...
You can copy override.css to child-theme (keep same folder structure), and place there all changes you would like to do to a colour scheme that is closest to your desire (I bet you will not need to rewrite everything, or am I wrong?)
As override.css is a last loaded file it will override all settings of files loaded before.

Hi Cyberek,
I am aware of the override.css function, however it is rather painful to identify each class, id and function whose color needs to be changed.
It would be much easier for me if I could look them up all at once in the same file, rather than overwritte each one separately in override.css .
Also, I would like my colleagues to simply chose our color scheme in the admin menu, and be able if necessary to switch back to a default one when required.

Hi,

@CityMoments you can just create your own/additional color style, please check this article:

@CityMoments in that case please create new styleX.css, where X is next available number, copy there entire content of any other styleX.css file that represents colour scheme closest to your desire, add this new file according to Piotr Kunicki's docs link and make all changes in this new file.

@Cyberek & @Piotr: Thank you both for your support. That's indeed what I'll have to do :-)
